Retirement Home - Ralstein Home

Ralstein House, was built by John Ralstein of Filabusi, an early Rhodesian settler. The purpose of the home was to provide shelter, comfort and happiness to the old people. The first administrator of the Home was Mr Flengun.

In 1970 Ralstein Home was transferred to the Salvation Army under the Leadership of the Territorial Commander Commissioner Sir F Adlium and the Chief Secretary Colonel Hunter. The transfer of ownership was completed in 1975. The first Salvation Army officers to run the Home as Administrators were Captain Shaw Cliffton and Hodline.
